The Best Time to Visit Cedar Ridge

Powder days, wildflower meadows, golden aspens or quiet shoulder-season deals: here's how to pick your perfect season.

Calm mountain lake surrounded by forest

There's no wrong time to visit Cedar Ridge, but each season has a distinct personality. Here's what to expect month by month.

Winter (December–March)

Peak ski season. Expect fresh snow, lively après, and the highest nightly rates. Book Ski Village condos at least three months ahead for holiday weeks.

Spring (April–May)

Mud season brings the best deals of the year. Lower trails open in May and the lake starts to thaw.

Summer (June–August)

Warm days on the water, wildflowers above treeline and outdoor concerts every Friday. Lakefront homes go fast.

Fall (September–October)

Our favorite. Aspens turn gold, crowds thin out, and the evenings are perfect for a fire. Late September is peak color.
